You don't need to know how to pose, have the perfect location picked out, or know exactly what you're going to wear. My job is to give you direction when you need it, leave room for the moments in between, and create photographs that feel like you.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I INQUIRE?
A.Once your message lands in my inbox, I’ll be in touch to learn a little more about what you’re imagining, answer questions, and help you choose the experience that fits.
Once we’ve chosen a date and your session is officially booked, we’ll start planning the details together—location, outfits, ideas, and the things that will make your session feel like yours.
WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. IS THAT OKAY?
A.Absolutely. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands—that part is my job.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, keep things moving, and leave room for the real moments in between. You just need to show up as yourselves.
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
A.Throughout Northern California and beyond.
We’ll choose a location that fits the people we’re photographing and the story we’re telling—whether that’s somewhere close to home, out on the ranch, downtown, in the mountains, or somewhere worth traveling for.
Have camera, will travel.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
A.Start with clothes that feel like you.
Once you’re booked, I’ll help you think through outfits, colors, textures, layers, and variety so everything works together without feeling overly styled.
And if there’s something that’s part of your story—a hat, boots, jersey, instrument, truck, horse, dog, or something completely different—bring it.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
A.Every experience is a little different, so the number of included images will be outlined when you book.
Your images are delivered in a professionally edited online gallery, with options for additional images, gallery upgrades, and professional prints + products depending on your experience.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
A.Popular fall and spring dates tend to fill first, so earlier is always better—especially for senior sessions and anything tied to a specific season or milestone.
That said, if you’re planning something last-minute, reach out anyway. If I have room, we’ll make it happen.
DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH SENIORS?
A.Not at all. Seniors are a big part of what I photograph, but Rafter Three is rooted in people + place—families, couples, graduates, brands, agriculture, and the people and stories that make Northern California home.
If it matters to you, there’s probably a story worth telling.
